  • Mark Morrow President

    The Breton Group began as a convergence of passions.  As Mark’s maturing faith and professional background began to weave together, he saw the opportunity to impact important nonprofit organizations.  Today, clients praise him for his big picture thinking, his “do-what-it-takes” work ethic and his willingness to listen.  When not helping nonprofits succeed beyond their financial expectations, Mark enjoys all things Michigan, and spending time with his wife, family and friends.

  • Kristin Gootjes Senior Consultant

    Kristin joined The Breton Group on a project-basis and soon found herself immersed in a full-time position.  She cites her co-workers’ respectful approach to their clients as one of the main reasons.  Serving as a thought partner, Kristin encourages her clients to continually tell the story of their cause–always recalling the mission and how it impacts lives for the better. Kristin has served as a Girl Scout leader and has been involved in the Michigan Women’s Foundation, Girls on the Run and the YWCA.

  • Jennie Holmes Development Assistant

    All is right in The Breton Group world when Jennie is in the office. Jennie is an organization systems guru, forward thinker and master of detail. Welcoming a challenge, her “can-do” spirit shines through in her thoughtful and deliberate approach to a project. Jennie’s world outside of The Breton Group is spent with her family (who by the way are geocaching pro’s), enjoying community events, photography, wrapping beautiful gifts and taking the time to put it on pause to smell the roses!

  • Deb Kalinka-Manning Project & Client Services Manager

    Deb works with our team of consultants as a project manager.  Her passion for our community’s nonprofits and their important missions is only matched by her infectious energy and need to “get things done.” With over 25 years in the nonprofit sector in marketing, programming and development roles, she brings a wealth of first-hand experience in implementing plans and achieving goals using staff, board and volunteers. She especially brings an expertise in writing grants and appeals, overseeing the development of collateral, and managing events. She’s a team player who enjoys walking into the chaos and creating order and structure for efficiencies and effectiveness.

  • Jean Katt Director of Marketing and Client Relations

    Jean is a strategic-minded development professional with a passion for helping nonprofits gain the resources they need to thrive.  With a personable approach that’s flexible and positive, Jean connects with clients and brings a creative flare and sense of fun to her work.  Outside The Breton Group, she enjoys spending time with close friends and family, distance running and losing herself in a great read.
